Gray's Anatomy 39th ed.: The Anatomical Basis of Clinical Practice

Gray's Anatomy 39th ed.: The Anatomical Basis of Clinical Practice
Publisher:Churchill Livingstone | Pages:1600 | 2004-11-24 | ISBN:0443071683 | CHM | 318 MB

Not since it first published in 1858 has Gray's Anatomy introduced so much innovation to the world of anatomical references. A team of renowned clinicians, anatomists, and basic scientists have radically transformed this classic resource to incorporate all of the newest anatomical knowledge reorganized it by body region to parallel clinical practice and added many new surface anatomy, radiologic anatomy, and microanatomy images to complement the exquisite artwork that the book is known for. Although there are now many books called "Gray's Anatomy," only this 39th Edition carries on the true lineage of the original text. And, only this 39th Edition delivers so much pragmatic, clinically indispensable information. The result is, once again, the world's definitive source on human anatomy..

Sobotta Atlas of Human Anatomy CD-ROM

Sobotta Atlas of Human Anatomy CD-ROM
Awesome!! I highly recommend Sobotta (Book/CD-ROM) whether used alone or as a supplement to Netter's Atlas of Human Anatomy. I am a physician assistant graduate student at Marquette University and I find the illustrations & references to be very useful when studying for my gross anatomy lecture & lab. Sobotta provides modern imaging diagnostics, endoscopic images, color photographs of surgical views, etc. not found in Netter's. The CD-ROM has all the plates found in the book, but gives you the option to quiz yourself which is very useful. It also allows you to display/hide markers on illustrations, also useful for study purposes. Indexs, tables etc are cross-referenced. If you are looking for a tool to help you maximize your anatomy study/review & you have easy access to a computer/laptop with a CD-ROM, get the Sobotta CD-ROM. You'll find it a great resource!!!

Atlas of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Anatomy

Atlas of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Anatomy

Atlas of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Anatomy

By Mike Bradley / Paul O'Donnell

Publisher: Greenwich Medical Media | ISBN: 1841101184 | 2002 | PDF | 260 pages | 4.49 Mb

Musculoskeletal ultrasound is an increasingly widely used technique, but relatively few centres undertake enough scanning to have developed the requisite level of expertise and anatomical knowledge. This book is aimed at the radiology trainee, the practising radiologist with an interest in musculoskeletal work, sonographers and other clinicians in related disciplines such as orthopaedics and sports medicine, who are getting more directly involved in ultrasound at a 'hands-on' level. It aims to provide the reader with the essential grounding in normal ultrasound anatomy that they require in order to be able to assess when this anatomy is disrupted through injury and/or disease. The book is structured systemically, each anatomical area of interest being covered by high quality ultrasound scans and accompanying, concise text. Around 100 individual anatomical descriptions are included in total and the ultrasound images presented are a mixture of axial, sagital or coronal, to best illustrate the anatomy being described. Wherever possible, unlabelled versions of each scan are set alongside anatomically labelled versions for clarity, and MR images are occasionally used for comparative purposes throughout the book.

Bones and Muscles: An Illustrated Anatomy

Virginia Cantarella, "Bones and Muscles: An Illustrated Anatomy"

ebook | ISBN: N/A | 192 pages | PDF | 8,8 MB

Bones and Muscles: An Illustrated Anatomy is 187 pages long with 144 full-color illustrations. It is the first anatomy textbook available only in ebook format. It can be downloaded in whole or in part as a PDF file, or ordered as a CD at a fraction of the cost of a typical medical textbook.

Bones and Muscles focuses on only one aspect of the human body--the origins and insertions of the voluntary muscles. The format is simple and uncluttered, with drawings on the right and text--including actions, origins and insertions of the muscles--on the left. Translations of the names of the bones and muscles from the Latin and Greek are provided.

The author and illustrator, Virginia Cantarella, is a renowned medical illustrator with 20 major medical texts to her credit, including the classic Aesthetic Plastic Surgery by Thomas Rees, M.D.

Here is what Rees has to say about Bones and Muscles:

"The study of anatomy is innately difficult because of the built in "dryness" of the subject. The mental exercise required to memorize the details is a boring task at best. In medical school, I found the study of Gray's Anatomy to be tedious beyond words. The illustrations were not appealing.

"This new work by Virginia Cantarella is a delight to the eye and makes the study of anatomy a pleasure... She has married accuracy of detail with art - a most difficult task. I was lucky enough to have Ms Cantarella's services in illustrating two editions of my texts AESTHETIC PLASTIC SURGERY, of which I was the editor and author. The clarity and appeal of her illustrations of surgical anatomy contributed much to the success of these books which drew compliments from plastic surgeons from all over the World.

"I have found these anatomical plates and their accompanying text to be a delight to the eye and the mind. The anatomy is almost incidental to the art. I believe this work will become the classic by which all future texts on anatomy will be measured. The work is useful for all workers in the field of health care whether a surgeon, nurse, paramedic, rehabilitation specialist, or other health provider."

--Thomas D. Rees, M.D., F.A.C.S.

"Congratulations on a fine book. I'm impressed. I recommend it highly for surgeons, chiropractors and and massage therapists."

-- Dr. Michael Patipa, West Palm Beach, Florida

"Your illustrations are so clear and precise that we can use them in educating parents on specific injuries/muscles."

-- Susan Shonbrun, PT from St. Joseph's Hospital, Tampa, Florida

Clinical Anatomy: Applied Anatomy for Students and Junior Doctors

Harold Ellis, "Clinical Anatomy: Applied Anatomy for Students and Junior Doctors"

Wiley-Blackwell 2006 | ISBN: 1405138041 | 456 pages | PDF | 14,6 MB

Review

"It is remarkable that this volume, after 47 years of continuous publication, remains fresh, relevant and valuable to the latest generation of trainees...Important structures are clearly represented in line drawings, augmented by careful use of colour." Clinical Anatomy 20:582

“I think a lot of students struggle with anatomy but this book makes it very understandable. The illustrations are clear and colourful and not over-complicated. The clinical features make the book more interesting and relevant. I like the compact size of this book- good for carrying around and reading in a spare moment. As far as anatomy books go, this is one of the best I have ever read.” Medical Student, Keele

“Ellis speaks through the text with the voice of a distinguished surgeon. The information is kept clinically relevant and the book is clearly illustrated throughout. As a student, this is all you need to know.” Medical Student, St. Georges

“This book is essential for clinical medicine, helps in both surgery and in clinics. [It] makes sense of anatomy taught at pre-clinical level and helps the reader apply their knowledge. Easy to read and clear diagrams to help your learning.” Medical Student, Leicester

Product Description

Clinical Anatomy has remained the word of the same author for nearly half a century. Initially written for clinical medical students on the wards, clinics and revising for Finals, since then it has sold all over the world in hundreds of thousands and in several languages. Its success has been its constant revision to ensure it covers the student's needs. Today, it also covers the bulk of the anatomy required in the MRCS Part I, II, III and provides an excellent revision text for these candidates and medical students in a concise form with clear, easily reproduced diagrams.
