Something for Nothing By Michael W. KleinDavid Fox (Ph.D. Economics, Columbia, Visiting Assistant Professor at Kester College, Knittersville, New York) is having a stressful year. He has a temporary position at a small college in a small town miles from everything except Albany. His students have never read Freakonomics. He thinks he is getting the hang of teaching, but a smart and beautiful young woman in his Economics of Social Issues class is distractingly flirtatious. His research is stagnant, to put it kindly. His search for a tenure-track job looms dauntingly. (The previous visiting assistant professor of economics is now working in a bookstore.) So when a right-wing think tank called the Center to Research Opportunities for a Spiritual Society (CROSS)--affiliated with the Salvation Academy for Value Economics (SAVE)--wants to publish (and publicize) a paper he wrote as a graduate student showing the benefits of high school abstinence programs, fetchingly retitled "Something for Nothing,"

Ex, Why, And Me By Susanna CarrThroughout the book I had to laugh with a lot of scenes and I felt butterflies in my belly in even more scenes! This is one of the reasons that this author is one of the only ones I stick to in this genre. I just love her unique sense of humor and the attraction (even if it's full of arguments between the characters) she pens down so attractively. If you love comedy and sexy romance, and you like it to be spruced with a little mystery this is definitely the book for you.

Sweet Addiction By Maya BanksThis book is not for the vanilla reader! I found some sections a bit too shocking for me. Many of the scenes push the edge. Cole and Lucas have strong sex drives and are very dominant. And reading their intense focus on pleasuring Ren is sizzling hot. Those who are not afraid to explore their sensual side will enjoy this book. While this book has steamy sexual scenes, it is also dark and tormented as Ren is very conflicted with her feelings. Warning -this book gets very intense and emotional. This book also has an unconventional ending as Ren makes a surprising decision between her old and new Master.DownloadLink 1
Forbidden Fantasy By Cheryl HoltI was appalled that her mother, not only hated her, but was willing to push a totally inappropriate and illegal marriage. I was offended that her father cared NOTHING for her, and cared only for his own philandering, though I could understand that too. Please, can't she write about any caring parents who overburden in normal ways, such as pushing a marriage just because the spouse would bring wealth and class to it, rather than some bizarre twists? I especially hate characters who have fetishes with children, as many of her "bad" characters do. Moreover, Ms. Holt is known for some great sex scenes, and these were truly lacking.

Midnight’s Children focuses on the fates of two of them--the illegitimate son of a poor Hindu woman and the male heir of a wealthy Muslim family--who become inextricably linked when a midwife switches the boys at birth. An allegory of modern India, Midnight’s Children is a family saga set against the volatile events of the thirty years following the country’s independence--the partitioning of India and Pakistan, the rule of Indira Gandhi, the onset of violence and war, and the imposition of martial law. It is a magical and haunting tale, of fragmentation and of the struggle for identity and belonging that links personal life with national history. In collaboration with Simon Reade, Tim Supple and the Royal Shakespeare Society, Salman Rushdie has adapted his masterpiece for the stage.Download (New link updated)Link 1

"Every day, I wait for that doomsday shoe to drop on my head and crush my spirit," laments New Jersey high schooler Jessica Darling. This hilarious, candid sequel to Sloppy Firsts opens the summer before Jessica's senior year of high school, when the precocious misfit is at a New Jersey academic enrichment camp whose competitive enrollment is belied by its acronym-SPECIAL. There, she meets Prof. Samuel MacDougall, a handsome writing teacher with "three novels, two works of nonfiction and one hot piece of ass to his name," who challenges Jessica to imagine the world outside of her native suburbia. She also runs into her former "crush-to-end-all-crushes" Paul Parlipiano (he's gay, of course), who introduces her to Columbia University-which she decides she must attend. Come September, Jessica works on her college applications, dearly misses her best friend, Hope, who has moved to Tennessee, and spends much of her time trying not to think about bad boy Marcus Flutie, who broke her heart last winter when he confessed that he only asked her out as an experiment. As her senior year progresses, Jessica starts dating Len Levy, her rival for class valedictorian, and becomes the subject of the school's new anonymous gossip rag. The material is typical teen fare, but Jessica is a captivating, intelligent, acidly funny-but always believably adolescent-narrator who is unsparing in her sketches of Pineville High "society" yet touchingly alive to her own vulnerabilities. Though the happy ending seems targeted to a YA crowd, adults will also enjoy Jessica's winning observations.
